Looking for Phil Allen, originally from Oregon, who was on Montana fires in the late 1980s and played the trumpet and had some very cool fire photos. Email Steve c/o [email protected]. |
Were you the medic in the flight suit on a fire near Cave Junction, Oregon, in 1994? Medium build with dark hair? Sandy's always wondered what became of you. Email her c/o [email protected]. |
Looking for firefighters from the Army infantry troops who were on the Yaak River complex in northwest Montana late in 1994. Email [email protected]. |
Remember the guy who was on that fire in Montana in 1972? Or 1996? The guy who seemed like your brother you never had? The one you worked with, laughed with, argued with, talked about others with, and shared fishing and fire stories with? What ever became of him?
This is part of what makes the camaraderie of fire what it is.
You run onto people on a fire that you have a lot in common with. People you connect with. People whose backgrounds may be radically different from yours, or astonishingly similar to yours. You work together, eat together, sleep together, laugh together.
And then you never see them again.
That's what this page is all about. This is the "Lost & Found" department for long-lost buddies and pals and mighta-been lovers. (Oh yeah, did we forget to mention lust?? What about that lead plane pilot who fried all your circuits when you saw her walk across fire camp? Or the helicopter pilot who left you speechless when he flew off from that fire in Southern California?)
